Tax Manager

Zach Carver

What is your superpower?

Listening and learning people’s situations so I can fully understand them.

What makes you unique in your role?

Connection and genuine understanding. Extreme empathy. Taxes go deeper than the numbers. I seek to understand your perspective, your goals, and your why so that we can make the best tax plan for you.

What are your beliefs about the financial planning profession?

People can accomplish great things when they have a proactive advisor.

What’s the most fun part of your job?

I love getting to tell people when they have big refunds! Or hear their audible sigh of relief because we planned and had money set aside for payments.

What particular client personality or circumstance are you most drawn to?

Small business owners who have the right advisory team from the start and people who are super charitable. I like to help small business owners get it right from the beginning so they can grow. I’ve worked with lots of businesses who didn’t have great tax help when they started and then we had to clean up the mess.

Is there anything in your life personally that has helped motivate you to improve the financial situation of yourself, your clients, or your community?

Growing up, the only time I saw my mom cry was about money, and I never want to put my family in that spot. As a kid I remember getting groceries delivered from a friend at church; I still have a polaroid of the bags of groceries on our kitchen table to remind me of others’ kindness.

I believe good stewardship is important. Once my eyes were opened to what a CPA can do with all the planning opportunities available, I realized how much I can help, and I love to help!
